The Bertha Armenta Drew Harris Papers date from 1919 to 1928. The collection contains personal correspondence, loose leaves of Harris' diary, class notes, English writing assignments, and other materials such as event programs and invitations. The correspondence are predominantly written to Harris from a certain Benjamin Rice Lacey, while the others are from a friend and a woman writing in regards to the North Carolina College for Women. Harris' Diary contains entries dating from September 12, 1919 to December 9, 1920. In it are glued memorabilia items such as correspondence, invitations, event programs, newspaper clippings, candy wrappers, and course registration cards. Harris' English writing assignments date from the 1919-1920 academic year and consist of outlines and drafts of works entitled My Biography and The Farm Problem: How Women May Help to Solve It. Harris' instructor for these assignments was a Miss Dora M. Robinson. The remainders of her class notes are largely undated and appear to cover the areas of psychology, history, and genetics. Other miscellaneous items within the collection include an event program, registration card, notes, and a Cornelian Literary Society invitation.
